Writing is part of what I do for a living. That is one side of the story. Another one is that there are many moments in all the reading, talking and thinking that do not usually find their way into my academic work. These moments usually are either creative thoughts or feelings about a place, a conversation or simply expressions of "being" somewhere. They are a more personal dialogue about what is still deeply connected to what I do, see or think. Since I deeply agree with the fact that "thinking" is an activity (following Arendt) or, well, using a more critical notion, a "practice", these writings are also part of "my academic world".
